Sub-MOA out of the box!

0.978" group I fired at 100 yards with my 700 Police DM .300 Winchester Magnum (PSS)
This 0.978-inch three shot group was fired at 100 yards,
using Remington 180 grain core lokt pointed soft pt ($11.99) a box.
I fired 18 rounds total, with this rifle right out of the box,
this group was done with rounds 13, 14, & 15.

The most widely used method is to measure the outside diameter of your group
and subtract one bullet diameter.
This will give you the group size based upon your two widest shots.

I had an opportunity to take a little time at my own rifle range
(Douglas Ridge Rifle Club, Oregon), on 10-26-98
I tried a whole bunch of different loads.
Here are two targets from these test fires.



Since I was sighted in with the Remington factory ammo my hand loads were low and left.
This first target is a three, YES THREE shot 0. 307-inch group!
This group was with Sierra 220 Gr. Matchkings!





All of my handloads hit a little low and left, so I rezeroed my scope.
This target is a 0. 637-inch group of four.
This group was with Nosler 180 Gr. Ballistic Tips!
Once I get a favorite load picked out, I will be shooting and posting 5 shot groups,
